Understanding Integrity for OT Systems: Achieving Usable Security
We are excited to be continuing with our Workshop Series on important industry topics where the DNP-UG is active. We have received very positive feedback from our previous workshops thanks to our expert speakers and great audience participation.
Our next workshop addresses an equally important topic: “Understanding Integrity for OT Systems: Achieving Usable Security.” Operational technology environments depend on controlling trust, yet many control system implementations struggle to establish appropriate controls in real-world deployments. A recent analysis paper from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, “Barriers to Secure OT Communication: Why Johnny Can’t Authenticate” | CISA, highlights the challenges and gaps. This workshop will use these findings as a catalyst for a practical discussion on how integrity can be achieved sustainably for operators, engineers, and asset owners.
For this event we are featuring the following industry experts:
- John McDonald, Panel Chair, JDM Associates
- Matthew Rogers, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS)
- Virginia Wright, Idaho National Laboratory
- Demos Andreou, Patterson & Dewar Engineers
Our expert hosts are:
- James Formea, VP Education and Standards, DNP-UG; Eaton
- Sara Yuill, Membership Coordinator, DNP-UG (membership@dnp.org)
These workshops are well attended and open to the public so be sure to register early. Follow-on tutorials and training are for members only.
