We are excited at long last to be announcing the launch meeting for the DNP-UG’s new Utility Council!
The DNP-UG leadership has long wanted to establish a tighter connection with our utility members. The over-arching objective of the DNP-UG is to serve the needs of utilities so it is essential to have a mechanism in place that optimizes this. The DNP-UG will sponsor and facilitate the Utility Council and provide the requested information but otherwise encourages the Council to function independently.
Founding Leader – Anthony Johnson
Tony Johnson recently retired from Southern California Edison as a Consulting Engineer in the Grid Technology and Modernization Department of Transmission and Distribution Business. He worked at SCE for almost 34 years. Tony has a great deal of experience leading and participating with similar groups, including with the IEEE. He was nominated by the board of directors and elected by the DNP-UG membership at our recent AGM as founding leader of the Utility Council.
